TRAVEL
Inverness - the capital of the Scottish Highlands - is easy to reach.
- There are regular daily trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh (via Perth) and from Aberdeen. Trains from Inverness head north to Wick, and west to Kyle of Lochalsh (Skye Bridge). Visit the First ScotRail web site for timetables and prices. Sleeper trains from London operate on certain days.
- Daily coach services are operated by CityLink between Inverness and many towns and cities throughout Scotland.
- Inverness Airport has flights to/from London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
- Car hire is available at Inverness airport and train station if booked in advance.
